Comedy that is actually funny would be good (which pretty much rules out anything American).

Big fan of League of Gentlemen, Inside No.9, Spaced, Flight of the Conchords and Plebs.

What do reckon?

Well I just found out one of my colleagues has never watched The IT Crowd, I hope you've seen that.

Watch Brooklyn 9-9 and prepare to eat your words.

Mighty Boosh, IT Crowd, Alan Partridge (inc mid morning matters).  And Blackadder (but I’ll assume you’ve seen that).

*American* but if you've got Amazon Prime I thought Loudermilk was excellent.

Flea Bag on the beeb

Love Sick on C4 now on Netflix - I've only seen the first season but there are 3

"Vice Principals" and be prepared to eat your words... for a US series it's pretty out there.

Oh yeah Veep is so good.

Parks & rec also but you have to bear with it past season one, it takes a while to warm up - but when it gets going...

Some cracking suggestions. We re-watched a few choice Peep Show episodes last night.

For new stuff: Derry Girls which has just finished on channel 4 is absolutely brilliant!

just started watching Young Offenders on iPlayer. Uncle is worth a watch on iPlayer to. And any of the Brian Pern spoof Rockumentaries, which are utter genius!

Awesome! That's my viewing for the next decade sorted, then!

I was kind of joking about the American thing - but there is a lot of dross U.S. comedy. That said, I'll try anything once.

'One foot in the grave'

especially the bank holiday episodes where they're stuck in traffic and the one where they shelter in an abandoned van.

of the regular episodes...the one with Patrick's birthday and victors window cleaning.

imho, they couldn't top the one with 'cop-porn', (the dawn of man)..,genius.

I've just watched the whole series of ''Plus One' on one of the catch up channels.

I thought it was brilliant and hadn't even heard of it before I stumbled across it.

That’s cos its “Adult Swim”. Check the Adult Swim website for loads... Mr. Pickles for example. Incredible stuff, not for the easily offended, (or fans of One Foot In the Grave)

Another funny one from a few years ago is 'Beautiful people' (UK series not American) and 'Wilfred' was good too.

I logged in to recommend Toast, but bin dun.  I quite enjoyed Josh despite not being a fan of him as a stand up. I've also been recommended, but not watched yet, Back and one called Catastrophe (looks like it won't be my thing, but multi award winning, so I'll give it a go). Currently working through Psychoville.

I second This Country. Just catching up on it.

If you like your humour black, try Flowers.

Oh and if you missed Crashing and Fleabag, they’re a must see.

Taxi ( american comedy of yesteryear) wasn't funny ?...Must have been the alcohol making it so ...

The new religion thread on here ( resurrection episode) is just warming up ( currently at page 3)...worth an "at distance "watch..for those who like to see a good cat fight ..

Second series of This Country on BBC 3. Slow burner, and will resonate with anyone who crew up in a small place somewhere rural.
