looking for group accommodation (self cater would be cool) for 20 people near a nice park with lake.. and also very near a good trails .. the 20 people only go for walking and sightseeing or some sort, and I just need to kill the time cycling somewhere.
went to CYB before and for some reason my satnav took me to a route which is very high up mountain and reservoir lake probably foot of snowdonia but i am not very familiar with the area nearby. many thanks

If you mean that bunkhouse at the bottom of the Watkin Path I'd hardly describe it as 'good accommodation' unless it's improved dramatically!

Not in my experience.
I googled nant and llyn gwynant looks lovely.. Probably thats the one i saw before.. Are the bunkhouses here overlooking the lake?

I must say that Bryn Dinas Bunkhouse looks much nicer than when I stayed there, to be fair.
Not overlooking the lake but the the view from the front door is nice, as I recall. The Watkin Path is very close by.

Youth hostels are for everyone ,many people are mislead by the name!
I usually stay at Plas Curig, used to be YHA, now a smart independent hostel. Has facilities for self catering or choice of cafes and pubs in walking distance.
