The Missus wants to revamp our living room and to be fair it needs doing.

Rather than go to the pain of trudging around shops for endless weekends looking at stuff I'm not in the least bit interested in I thought I'd engage an interior designer to all that for me.

Any recommendations?

You're asking for interior design tips on here? Seriously? What you'll likely end up with....

@binners, I know, but this is the only non cycling forum I use. I didn't want to enter the hell that is 'Interior Design' forums.

I didn't even think there was such a thing as an 'interior' up there, never mind actually bother to 'design' one... 😉

I'm painting over the horrible wallpaper in my lounge with cheap magnolia. I live in Leeds. I can help you too.

Wot no 3 line Ducks??

Then I say you don't live in That Yarkshire do you.

Sofa out of next doors garden, fridge from behing the outside loo, table from the kids playground along with the three legged chair, rug from Aunt Betties..

Surely thats enough of an interior for "the north"

There you go, I accept Paypal BTW

An interior designer you say?

I confess to watching all the wonderful programmes on telly such as 'Escape to the Country', 'Grand designs' etc. and they all seem to have pale colour paint on walls. bold wallpaper on the fireplace wall and a splash of colour with cushions and the odd photo -£500 please 🙂

My missus. She knows everything before you've even thought it.

If you turn around, it's probably already done.

No!
Try someone independant.
I'm a professional curtain maker who used to work for JL re-making their curtain mistakes and there were a lot of them.
Also someone like me will be between 10% and 30% less expensive.
