Hi
Anyone had flawless performance from a pay as you go bid sniper program ?
Bidnip has let me down a couple of times for no apparent reason that I can see. No problem with paying a few pence , only neccecesity is being able to specify bid delay time.
cheers

I've used auction sniper before without any issue - 3 free snipes I think if you want to give it a try.

I've used ezsniper before and went to use it again a couple of weeks ago.

Forgot my password, so requested a reminder/reset/whatnot, and was a little surprised to get my password emailed back to me in plain text.

Gixen has never let me down, either with their free service or the paid version. My Dad & brother use it too with similar results.

What happens if two people using sniper software go up against each other? Who wins then?

The one with the biggest / latest bid.

I used to use Auction Stealer UK, worked a treat - 3 free snipes per week

The one who bids higher

I find the psychology of all this very strange

is "myibidder" out of favor these days?
Been using it for years and always been happy. Is there any reason I should re-consider?

I find the psychology of all this very strange

Any bid before the last few seconds of an auction only benefits the seller, because it tends to provide a target for others to bid against. Some folk can't resist this, which is why some auctions end with the buyer paying almost RRP.

Just a quick warning regarding Gixen

I used it last weekend for the first time having read about it here

Yesterday EBay locked out my account following unauthorized access

While I can't be certain this was the cause it's the only thing I've used which is different in the recent past

I certainly wont be using it again

I find the psychology of all this very strange

Bid early = other people start pushing it up, not good for you as a buyer.
Bid late = you bid once (avoiding any kind of auction excitement which tends to cloud ones otherwise sane judgment) and avoid any untoward bumping up of price

^ agree. Not ideal as a seller but you'd be silly to sell without a buy now auction anyway.
Biding has always worked for me, no reason to change.

Also, this isn't about getting the best deal, it also helps place bids if the auction ends at silly o'clock.

Some Chinese hackers tried to brute force attack the gixen server, gixen server relayed these to ebay who shut down any accounts that had used the sniper recently. Happened to me, all good in the hood now.
