Today while out shopping for a digital radio I saw an offer on a Canon A2200 - £68. Given the small size of the camera I was very tempted as I would be able to carry to with me at all times, something that isn't always possible with my DSLR. However, I decided to bide my time and I'm glad I did, as the A2200 doesn't offer aperture priority or shutter priority and nor does it offer the option to shoot in Raw.
So my question is, is there a sub-compact that can shoot raw and preferably offers aperture and or shutter priority?
On a few Canon Camera's you can use an alternative firmware CHDK. It gives a lot of options such as RAW to camera's that didn't have it. The firmware stays on the SD card, so it doesn't mess with the camera's firmware.
The A2200 has not been ported by CHDK.
This is quite a good website to check out specs of cameras.... http://www.dpreview.com/products/
You could pick up a Canon S95 cheap (ish) now the S100 is out. Ticks all your boxes.
