You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I want to buy my other half a compact camera for Christmas.
It'll get used for family days out/school field trips (she's a science teacher) and pretty much everything else.
Her current camera has died due to sand ingress.
I'm looking for something 'ruggedised' that is splash proof/sand proof.
Budget £100 - maybe a bit more for a great deal, I'll consider an outgoing '2012' model if it means I get a good deal.
Any suggestions??

Me and Singletracksurfer did a Welsh C2C for a magazine story earlier this year. We used a Pentax Optio WG-1 which survived very well and the pics were good enough to use with the article. Only problem is the exposed lens tends to get a bit smeary.
Indoor pics weren't great but it was pretty robust and took some good pictures out and about as mr a says. Some good deals on line too.
