I (well the wife) am after a new Summer house. Can anyone recommend a place to buy? We're located in Central Scotland.

Ideally be fairly "heritage" as we're located in a conservation area, 3.75m x 2.75m max, less work for me the better, and would like moon on stick too. Personally a bigger shed would mean I could buy more boats but I'm only paying.....

Have a word with MidlandTrailQusetGraham, he seems to know a thing or two about sheds

I looked in to log cabins when I first started planning my repairs.
There's one near here who buys the shaped timber in, then cuts it all to size.
A lot of them seem to just import complete kits in from Eastern Europe or Scandinavia.
Definitely worth looking at as they don't cost all that much more than the timber to build a conventional shed.

Checkthe planning regs, youre not allowed a shed near a road or above a certain size.

"Log cabin" is a bit of a generic term these days.
Most of them use rectangular section timber with tongues and grooves.
It's the way the corners interlock that seems to be the distinction between what's called a log cabin and any other wooden building.

Thanks All.

ridethelakes - Keops look good. I'll need to do some research to try and work out why this and this look very similar but one costs ~30% more.

Keep us posted please 😉 We're in the market for similar (4m x 3 to 3.5m) and we're also a Listed Building in a Conservation Area (World Heritage site even), next to a road etc so Planning and possibly even Listed Building consent probably required..(nightmare).

In our case we were thinking something obviously contemporary (modern) would work better than something 'heritage'..

Been looking at these people, not got any further than the website though:
