my 8yr old has been playing guitar for a year now and is really coming along so thinking about getting him a new/used steel string guitar to replace his very cheap argos 3/4 size spanish guitar special. he quite merrily plays my travel guitar (little martin) so i'm thinking something around that size would be ideal.

anyone got any recommendations, not fussed whether its a lower priced new one or better 2nd hand.

cheers

Crafter are usually a good bet for a reasonable priced guitar - they do a Travel Guitar: http://www.petercooksguitars.co.uk/catalog/crafter-lite-spruce-travel-guitar-p-1128.html

If you were pushing the boat out a bit:

(I got a Seagull Mini Jumbo a while back, and it is proper lovely!)
