Get a chromebook - so much more useability for your money

Edit - sorry didn't see the photo bit - still use a phone for that, tablets are too big and unwieldy for photo work in my opinion

As above, Samsung tablets in Flash Towers have been, and still are, excellent.

Yeah - I've never understood the using a tablet as a camera thing. I know it's wildly OT, but if that's something the OP wants I'm wondering if he can explain why?

I loathe Apple stuff, but the newer iPads are brilliant*.  Sure, they're flawed, but for ease of use they're a million times better than any Android tablet.

*work gave me an iPad Pro.  Casual web browsing, games, and reviewing photos is spot on.  Dunno about the rest of it.

Samsung a10 here I hit the on button and start the app I want. How does that get a million times better. Works well and simply here. Battery is good, sound reasonable screen nice.

If all you want to do is to access the internet and email then any tablet will do. The main benefit of an iPad is when you have other Apple products. We've got a few Apple devices in our household across the family, phones, tablets, laptops and desktops, and the real benefit I see is the all the devices work as windows into a common system - your 'computer' is taken away from the actual device which just become different ways to access your 'computer' and it all works very well. For media, sharing of data, pooling memory. They're more than just a device.

Same with Google - if you're wedded to the Google 'ecosystem' where your device is just a way to access your Google services.

I keep getting messages meant for my wife come up on my iPad screen from her friend about her hysterectomy.

Sometimes the apple connectivity is not that useful!

My Samsung tablet with flip off keyboard is ace. The best thing though is the screen. My Apple Fangirl daughter is very jealous...

"Sometimes the apple connectivity is not that useful!"

Perfectly capable of changing settings to stop that. Up until recently I shared the same Apple ID as my wife and we never received any unwanted messages or anything from Messages, email or anything. You can configure it all.

Yeah same as all the OS's it does however show that the "It's all really simple and intuitive" isn't really true, perhaps it's just familiarity 😉

Bush Spira B3 tablets (8 or 10") from Argos do the job well. Have bought several for me and family now. £110/£120
