Something that I can do in the Edinburgh. Not anything extreme sports/outdoor related and I've done all of those. I also have martial arts covered.
Running. If you're man enough 😉
I run enough as it is.
Indoors and non extreme ...
Badminton
Table Tennis
Knitting
Olympic weight lifting. I started about 6 months ago, really very tricky to learn as it's all about timing and positions rather than strength. Quite satisfying when it does all come together and the bar just flies up, whacking yourself in the chin when you weren't expecting it!
Not anything outdoor related
Erm... Darts?
If you're happy to forgo the "no outdoors" caveat, i'd recommend running!
fencing
I'll play you at Table Tennis. Outdoor tables in Murrayfield and, err, near TBC (now EBC).
Climbing?
+1 for badminton.
Is swimming outdoor related? Great for fitness, not a lot of equipment needed, and low risk of injury.
Squash - one of the best indoor sports around. Good for taking out your aggression too.
You could engage in the sport of trolling on the internet.............oh wait you've already exhausted that one too 8)
Badger baiting
I run enough as it is.
No you don't. Sign up for an ultra.
I reckon you'd make a pretty spectacular sausage jockey

Muff?
handball???
I've fairly recently started trampolineing and its the best fun I've had in an age.
Power kites are a bit of fun, I've just bought my first skateboard for a bit of a laugh with my kids, problem is I'm 42! Only about 30 years late!
Edit, ignore this, just noticed the not extreme or out doors bit, what does extreme mean anyway? Doing while drinking Red Bull or such like?
Or octopush, I quite fancy a go at that.
sea kayaking
which other sports have the most scope for contrary opinions?
You could try mountain biking. I hear it is quite popular.
Trampolining - good for balance - feels like flying!
DangerW*nk?
How about Archery? I've fancied it myself but not got around to it!
Ultimate frisbee.
Roller derby.
Rugby
Indoor climbing is good fun and tiring enough if you try hard.
+1 for ultimate frisbee although it gets on your own.
Longboard skateboard. As easy or extreme as you want.
Join Capital City Mens Roller Derby team - they are in Edinburgh
heres a game to give an example:
There is a diving club at The Commie, quick search on Google should give you some info!
No doubt that roller derby thing is fun, but it looks like an awfully complicated way to have a fight.
