Frightfully middle class and all that but I have moss issues on my lawn. Sacked the gardener as he spent far too much time in the potting shed so doing my own maintenance now. So anyway I need a scarifier, a powered one would be the best option. Don't want to spend a lot on something that'll only be used once or twice a year.

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I hired one. One less thing to bung up the garage.

I thought I would do it now to give the grass a chance to grow over summer then again at the end of the growing season.

As trail rat says, best leave it 'till the Autumn. For now let it grow a little longer (raise the height of cut) we tend to cut too short (unless you have a bowling green for a lawn, depends on how good your ex gardener was 😉 )
