I'm looking to get my kids a bank account so I can pay their pocket money in to it. So they can use it like a current account, they already have savings accounts. They are 12 and 14.
Id like them to be able to have an atm card to get access to cash.
My bank doesn't offer this. I know there’s various prepaid cards, like go Henry, but I’d rather they just have a bank account.
Any recommendations?
Nationwide is what ours have got, they can go online, open savings accounts, move money, pay for stuff Etc
They seem happy enough
+1 for Nationwide. Our 11 year old has one and uses her card to pay for purchases (supervised!). Makes her feel like a real grown up as opposed to her Dad who likes razzing down the road on his bike pulling skids cos he can’t do wheelies!!! 😂
I think you will find that you have to have a bank account with the bank too.
Hoare's.
