I am looking to have some body repairs done to my car (not through my insurance).
Some standard but not overwhelming bad key damage and I caught a rear wheel arch on a wooden garage door, but it is along arch line so unable to use dent master etc.
Just received a laughably outlandish quote from one shop. I have used them before (through insurance) and they are very good but I knew they would be expensive.
Any recommendations for local shops when you are not going through the insurance.
VAG approved ideally but that would not be the end of the world.

Gary, there's one between Hampton and twickenham that did some good work on the wife's merc slk. Kinda near fullwell bus garage. Might be worth a look.
ti-pin-man - thanks yes I know the one H&L Motors. The VW garage suggested them and they are VAG approved so I will definitely take a look at them.
My current quote is well over 3 times that I was expecting 😥
I've used FB Coachworks in East Molesey - Very reasonable and do good work.
