Mainly for domestic garden waste with some annual conifer pruning.
I've seen a Bosch quiet shredded ATX2000 on eBay, returns, from Bosch for £100 or should I go bnib?
Any others to consider? I like the idea of a quiet auto feed as opposed to a spinning blade as its supposed to compost better.

I've got a Viking GE150 (i think). Had it for quite a few years now.
It copes with the annual garden tree/shrub prunings. Gets clogged if the input is largely green matter like herbacious plants, so you need to keep feeding it some more woody material mixed in with those.

The output gets composted mixed with general green waste & works ok. The resulting compost is much coarser than from pure green matter, but works well as a mulch & soil improver.

I have a Bosch ATX 200 which I guess is similar. It does the job well enough, better than the other make it replaced. I wouldn't describe mine as quiet, though.

I recommend hiring one when you need it. Think I hired a top of the range electric Bosch for about £30 for a weekend. You won't need one more than twice a year.
