after a nice fleece or softshell.
going to be mainly for wearing under snowboard shell jacket or down jacket if cold outside and general walking when warmer.
5'6" med build.
doesnt have to be rain proof.
Mountain Hardware Monkey Man - I've a range of fleeces and this is my favorite!
😀
Budget? I've got a very nice arcteryx one but it was a long way from cheap.
I'm loving the Craghoppers Corey fleeces.
No budget. Don't mind spending if it's worth it.
If it is mainly for wearing under other garments then something made from power stretch is the best option.
Our Suffolk Mules have nice fleeces, they looked lovely and warm today 😀
You aren't having one though 😉
Rab - there some very nice ones but beyond my budget.
I have a Sherpa power stretch fleece which is very nice but without chest pocket. I bought it at 50% off when the local shop closed down. Sherpa
TK Maxx - I have seen some nice power stretch fleece here but I could not fine one with chest pocket so did not buy any.
😀
Patagonia R2. Brilliant layering fleece.
You should check out Norrona.
cheap decathlon...........
Cheers, I'll have a mooch about, couple of good suggestions.
Two thin, cheap ones. Much better than one thick (overpriced) one.
(apart from the Haglofs big heavy one I bought myself for Christmas, of course)
Get a job in Aldi or Asda and you will get one for free!
Patagonia r1.
Well made, warm, light.
another vote for patagonia r2 - very light breathable, last for ever and when they break they fix them for free!.
Patagonia is great kit, my fleece gilet is 15 years old. Also recommend Mammutt and Musto (sailing gear is very good and they have multiple different thicknesses and fleece base layers)
That Mountain harware top looks good
I've got a very nice arcteryx one but it was a long way from cheap.
Same here. Tried a few on the shop and got one of last seasons ones on sale, but they're really well made, warm, a good fit and (from other people I know with them) last forever.
Ordered one of these

I can't believe I'm watching this thread thinking about fleeces when it's nearly 30c and getting warmer.
What is the product name of that ME jacket, it's pretty nice looking.
Eclipse.
