Love resident evil type stuff.
Quite fancy batman arkham asylum.
Doesn't matter if they're a few years old. What do I really need to play? Adventurey explorey type stuff. Not flat out blasting. Not into sports games. Horror type stuff is good.
Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are worth a look if you like explorey / building a character type stuff.
try silent hill collection hd
haven't played it myself, but know it is great (silent hill 2 especially).
don't really play horror games tbh but some other games i can recommend are
skyrim/oblivion
test drive unlimited 2
mirror's edge
tomb raider anniversary edition
trials evolution/fusion
red dead redemption
forza 3/4/horizon
bayonetta
sorry i cannot recommend any more horror's though.
There are other games available apart from the GTA series?
I'd definitely backup Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim (best all round game ever?!), just make sure you don't play Skyrim before Oblivion (Oblivion is class but difficult to go back to after Skyrim which is more fluid).
Also, the Mass Effect series (1-3) is absolutely outstanding.
You're so lucky if you've yet to experience these games.... 🙂
Alan Wake also good if you like horror.
Dishonoured.
Red Dead Redemption. Get the Game of the Year Edition, comes with all the DLC you'll ever want.
Currently playing Tomb Raider, it's pretty decent. There's a GotY version of that too now I think.
+1 for Dishonoured 8) (PS3 version anyway)
Red Dead Redemption has possibly the best realised historical world in a game. and when you cross into mexico is one of the best moments in gaming.
get the flu and play skyrim for a week in your pyjamjams.
[s]get the flu[/s] and play skyrim for a week in your pyjamjams 😉
GTA V is a brilliant game.
Batman Arkham city was pretty good, Arkham origins less so IMO.
Fable 2 (never played the 1st,) is head and shoulders my favourite game on the 360, possibly favourite game ever actually. and sounds like exactly what youre after!
Also Gears of War is an xbox classic. big fun.
as mentioned, Red Dead Redemption is ace. I also liked the Tom Clancy Rainbow series. stack em up!
If you like horror try the dead space series. The second is the better of the 3 but worth starting from the beginning.
Make sure they are compatible with the Xbox 360 version 1... without updates!
I've found (and tested) a couple and chucked them in the box.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow six is going spare, so I'll chuck that in too.
Dishonoured is on Games with Gold from this weekend, if that's any use to you.
I'm gonna throw Enslaved in there as a leftfield option - not horror at all, but a really good story with proper characters and excellent voice actors and mocap.
ps. eBay for games, you can pick them up for around £5. I've never had a duff disk in all the eBay purchases I've made.
In relation to second hand games...
Go to Amazon to look for a game you're after. For example, Dishonoured.
It's currently £18 new, but click here:
Then select the Prime (or free super saver delivery if you don't have Prime) offers. This will list the pre-owned games from Amazon Warehouse. The descriptions are always bang on, so if it's As New, then it will be. Also, as it's fulfilled by Amazon, if there is anything wrong with it, then you can just send back for free. As you get all the same Amazon back up as if buying new.
In this case, you would get the game for £5 off, so well worth checking.
You can always not check the Prime/Supersaver box, and get even more of a bargain, but slightly looser quality control.
There's also often a decent sale on in the Xbox Live marketplace, I've picked up a few classics in there for a couple of quid each.

Definitely this if you're a Resident Evil fan, just picked up number 3 for £8 so can be had pretty cheaply too.
Assassin's Creed series is quality, worth a shot!
+1 for enslaved, such a brilliant game!
In relation to second hand games...
Worth considering though, if you want to play on-line, you may end up having to pay for a new activation key, which can be £10 on top - I think Battlefield and COD are like this.
if you want to play on-line
He got no chance of that! 🙂
NFS: Hot Pursuit
Dead Space 2
Alan Wake
Ultra Streetfighter 4
Max Payne 3
Arkham City
Red dead redemption: Undead nightmare (if you like zombie/supernatural shiz)
NFS: Hot Pursuit
Had that but it never really hooked me in. sold it on after a month
Burnout Revenge HD (also by Criterion) is a much better game.
Red dead redemption: Undead nightmare (if you like zombie/supernatural shiz)
That's a good point actually. Undead Nightmare will be right up the OP's alley, though I'd recommend completing RDR first purely because UN is a massive hike in difficulty from the main campaign.
have we had Bioshock?
Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2.
Dishonoured.
Skyrim so easy to loose 100's of hours in it, Mass Effect 3 again lots of hours in it. Dishonored a great choice, Dark Souls 1 or 2 beautiful but bitching hard and of course Minecraft.
Half life
have we had Bioshock?
It seems not but good call - awesome game
+100 for Darksouls 1 and 2, very challenging though.
You'll get your monies worth out Oblivion or Skyrim or any of the Fallout games.
skyrim 10/10
batman arkham asylum 8/10
dead space 9/10
red dead redemption 7.5/10
fallout new vegas 6/10
mass effect 5/10
bioshock 9/10
halo 4 7/10
really good deals in XBL sale a while back
There's a chunk of Rockstar stuff (including RDR) on the store at the minute for very little money.
