We want to buy a digital camera for our 5 yr old for christmas as he's been using ours and taking some good[ish] photos. With a budget of 30-35 quid what would you recommend?
A proper kiddies one with a plastic case?
m_f - we are looking at something like thisclicky as he is quite a responsible little chap and will look after it more than most 5 yr olds..
TBF, for that price any one will be as good as the next if you want a proper 'adult' one.
thx but i'm a bit confused now as to what to get. should i be spending more to get something better quality? as above it needs to be fairly hard wearing but not too child like as he will just want to use ours as he's going through that "i'm a big boy" phase - bless him.
The Olympus Tough range are more "proper compact camera but ruggedised, waterproof etc"
Bit over your budget (~£120) but they be usuable by you as well (e.g. Out on the bike)
Yeah - the Olympus one would do the trick, but if he wants it for himself...
I wouldn't spend more than that though - no matter how careful a 5 yr old is, he is still a 5 yr old.
