As title really.
Killed my old wired black and decker after about 10 years use here and there. It was good for putting up shelves etc, but even managed a 14mm hole through the stone walls of my cottage so did good for a cheapy.
Now I'm looking to replace it, killed it fitting hilti bolts into concrete. 🙁
I guess a decent cordless will be more expensive, and I've not really needed one so corded will do.
budgets probably around £40-50.

You might struggle in that price bracket. £80 seems to be more the price point for the known names, below that theres a big price drop to the own-brand / made-up brand cheapies for £20 odd. Cordless stuff is so ubiquitous that corded drills aren't really a market the manufacturers are fighting over. But that means a decent brand £80 drill should be prefectly good - no features held back for higher prices points and not built down to a price either.
A bit over budget but allot of drill for the money here

For domestic use I have found that Erbauer from Screwfix to be pretty good value.
