afternoon all,

I've got to get some new 'swag' for the team.  polo shirts, gilets, water bottles, hoodies - that sort of stuff. I've used a few companies in the past but never been that impressed. Anyone here use anyone decent that they'd recommend?  I need to brand it up with Company logo etc

Divvy the budget into actual cash across the team as a bonus. I 100% guarantee it'll be better received than any of that crap.

I can count the number of people who desperately want an employer-branded tote bag on the fingers of one foot. Take them all out for a curry instead, you'll be a hero.

Our company gives out branded stuff, goes straight in the recycling bin unworn.

The only people who wear it are the SLT whose idea it was to buy it, such a waste of resources.

Do you know what they really want to wear at work?

I've had no end of irrelevant, bad fitting, under performing clothing provided by my employer.
They have found a decent quality t-shirt at last which is the only thing I would buy if it was my own money, but not in the colour they favour, fortunately I can select a colour better suited to mud and grease.

We get polos and jumpers, a puffer gilet and jacket, as well as all the hi viz stuff we need. Pretty much everyone wears them as it means we don't knacker our own stuff or get them mucky. Even the folk who don't go to to site that much wear the polo's around the office. I still wear them when I'm in the office, especially when I've biked in.

No idea who they get them from though.

yeah, I'm with you but actually our sales team have requested it. We are only buying a few pieces, it's not for the whoile biz. It's for the sales team some of the leadership team and our partners (we've created a network with some other businesses and their bods have requested it too)

I've got a selection of mugs, water bottles, hoodies etc from jobs. Guess it depends on the job. Dull office jobs went straight in the decorating pile. Fun shows done with great teams of people that either worked out well, or even crap jobs with good people that you trauma bonded with it was nice to get a souvenir!

If you're not getting much, and for managers in that scenario I'd buy something decent and get it badged up rather than no name stuff - I've got a Mammut rucksack and some Craft stuff that way, and I've even seen Mountain Equipment and Arcteryx 'repurposed'.

Scimitar Sports.

I think the min order is 15 of each item but as above you have to be really sure people will wear it.

When I joined my last place, we were all issued with work branded kit, which most people wore, but mainly because it saved personal stuff getting trashed. It wasn’t that great to look at either.

When Cazoo took over, the kit was much improved, the shorts and trousers came from Ørn, fit and quality was vastly better than the institutional-looking Dickies stuff in blue and I’m wearing a pair of the grey Ørn shorts now, we had really nice black fleeces with just an orange logo on the front, we had a choice of PPE boots, mine are from Portwest, as were the hi-viz embroidered breathable waterproof jackets and waterproof over-trousers. We had really nice, warm knitted beanies, and fleece-lined trapper hats for those working outside on the yard. Oh, and knitted gloves as well.

I’ve still got all of my Cazoo kit, including the waterproof jacket, which could do with a good scrub, but it’s such a good jacket, with a decent hood, that if it’s really crappy weather, it’s my jacket of choice, because unlike most hi-viz waterproof jackets, it doesn’t turn the wearer into a boil-in-bag human after twenty minutes. The trapper hat will be seeing use in the not to distant future as well.

I did can’t say who the actual supplier was, who supplied everything for Cazoo, though, but I guess they just sourced the individual products as specified.
