Also with something to lock my bike outside within view of inside the cafe. Only want to pop in to get a coffee for a few mins so only carrying a thin ABUS cable lock.
If you do not mind being a little out of town. Hoolie Cafe at Rye watersports on the road to Camber was a nice stop on a sunny day. Order outside so no need to leave the bike. It was just a service hatch and tables outside.
Lots of good cafe's in the town, but I can not remember if there is somewhere to lock a bike. There are usually lots of cyclists stopping there so shouldn't be too hard to find something.
Little cafe at the railway station so can lock bikes up there against railings or in the bike rack.
George hotel has a courtyard at the back off the side street and the bar has easy access so bikes could be in sight
Knoops by the Landgate if you like really excellent hot chocolate. Decent brownies too if you want to go all in on chocolate.

Otherwise there's a really nice cafe by the harbour. Think it's called Bosun's Bite. Good doorstep sandwiches.
Thanks, I'll give Hoolie a go first as thats on my next planned route.
Bosun's bite at the harbour was always a favourite when I lived that way. If you want to stay in Rye then Quayside Kitchen is good too. Bikes can be lent against the wall right by the outside seating.
