We need somewhere to stay in Sheff next Saturday night. It's hard find a balance between proximity to town and having somewhere safe to park a van with bikes two bikes in.
Walking distance or a short taxi from town would be nice. Saturday will be mostly eating and drinking then over to the arena on the night. We won't be staggering around drunk anywhere.
Probably be riding on Sunday. Wharny or Greno most likely.
Any tips, or should I just start trawling Tripadvisor?
If you're going to the arena parking is a nightmare if it's for something big so you could stay at the premier inn right next door and get the tram to town. hotel parking should be reasonable but I'd probably take the bikes in to the room.
We were trying to avoid the Premier Inn's and Travelodge type hotels especially the one next door to the arena. Don't fancy lying awake listening to drunken Prodigy fans arriving home all night!
We stayed in a great little B&B behind a pub last time but we've left it too late for that one.
Thanks for the tips though, I won't be driving to the arena. I'd like to park up on Friday or Saturday and leave the van where it is. Because apparently we're doing two nights now??!
