looking for some carp/pike/specimen hunting type fishing advice but there seems to be tonnes of fishing forums and im not too sure which would be best/give decent advice..

OP are you just starting out or just looking for specific advice as I may be able to help as been a specimen hunter type for years although Camping sorry Carping for a week at a time is a long distant memory
I walk in the garage now and go " bike or Rods" - bike wins every time nowadays
I ate Carp for the first time this Christmas (not by choice - I was visiting girlfriends parents in Estonia), surprisingly nice to eat. Although I was freaked out at first eating something that used to catch out of the local canal as a kid.
