I need some new kit but would like to steer clear of the big brands. Anyone know of any smaller providers putting out some good quality and designed items?

Thanks guys but was really looking for brands a little less mainstream.

Anyone else know of any smaller suppliers?

Lawi is quite popular with a lot of roadies over here. The race jerseys feel like skin suits.

Try sportspursuit, they have a lot of roadie kit which seems good quality but from brands I've not heard of before. They're selling Rivelo kit at the moment which i like the look of

Seem to stock the more boutique brands

http://stolengoat.com
Mainly own designs, have used them for jerseys, good stuff

http://www.lapassione.cc
Small range of roadie stuff, nice jerseys

https://blacksheepcycling.cc
Plain jerseys always in stock, limited editions in very original designs but usually sell out quick

http://www.cafeducycliste.com
Good range of understated kit, possibly the French Rapha?

http://capocycling.com
Pricy hi-tech US based race gear, not used them but like the range

Maap, Le Col, Isadore Apparel, Cafe du Cycliste, Chapeau Cycle Club, Morvelo, Twin Six, Attaquer, Fiasco Ciclismo, Ten Speed Hero are all a bit different, and range from stylish and understated to neither of those things.

Take off the labels on the mainstream kit and tell everyone it's from "insert made up name here".

I like the look of the jerseys, especially the rear pockets. I need to go back and work out the difference between the 6 different short sleeve options!

I use the same fabric for all my jerseys as I believe in layering up so the only difference in the jerseys is the zip length and the design. The T1/2/11/12 have a short zip and come up smaller than the T3/7 which have a long zip.

Here are the approximate measurements of my jerseys :

The short zipped jerseys (T1, T2, T11, T12) have the following approximate arm pit to arm pit measurements when lying flat on the ground.

XS - 17"
Small - 18"
Medium - 19"
Large - 20"
XL - 21"
XXL - 22"

The long zipped jerseys (T3, T5, T7, T8) have the following approximate arm pit to arm pit measurements when lying flat on the ground.

XS - 18"
Small - 19"
Medium - 20"
Large - 21"
XL - 22"
XXL - 23"

I've just got a Torm T1 this year, and just used it last week for www.ridetothesun.co.uk, and it's ace, really classy bit of kit for a bargain price.

Do you want a small outlet for roadie clothing or an outlet for small roadie clothing?

I'm terrible... I get all the way to checking out on these small outlets, then guffaw at the £6 postage for a lightweight T that cost £60!!

Get over it DrP!!

Torm- any online offers/postage deals at all?? 😉

Postage is always annoying when you get to the checkout, I know that because I buy stuff online aswell but it has to be part of online sales.

I only charge postage and packaging at cost price, I make no profit from it and in fact don't factor in labour costs to go from the point of order to the post box (yes I do all that as well!). 2nd class recorded delivery is £3.90, VAT is 78p (yes the government charge VAT on business post!), £1.20 on packaging/labels/paperwork etc giving a total price of £5.88. The reality is this part has to get paid for somewhere along the line, some companies offer free postage but really the £6 cost is simply added to the selling price of the products and effectively UK customers then subsidise overseas postage costs, I don't think that's fair, so I'm not going to raise my prices by £6 and offer free postage to fool people into thinking they are getting better value.

If you come to the shop (have a day at the seaside, kettles always on, mind the seagulls, I'll take you round the Viking Trail if you like as well !) I am currently offering £5 off all jerseys and including free arm warmers...in doing this I make £5 profit for each jersey that I sell in the shop (not £65 profit like some other manufacturers) so me and Al are never going to be rich but we prefer doing this way, it feels right to us.

Looks good, but what is it with all the bearded and tatt'd up riders? Not just a Rapha thing?
