Heading back up to Newcastle for one night this week with work.

I haven't eaten out there for over 10 years, so I have no up to date info.

Can anyone recommend any really good places? Can be quite pricey as it's all expenses, so happy to push the boat out. 🙂

Pricey: Blackfriars, Cafe 21, Peace and Loaf (pretentious, but I left full, and that doesn't happen often)

Less pricey: Longhorns (barbecue), Red Mezze (Turkish), The Broad Chare (British cuisine, done really well)

Six at the Baltic is nice. Great views too.
Have heard good things about River Beat (near the Hilton).
Redhouse is good for Pie/Peas/Mash and a good pint.

+1 for Broad Chare and Cafe21.
If expenses will stand it and you like napery go to Jesmond Dene House.
Irwins at North Shields fish quay was good last time I was there.

Sachins if you fancy a curry, always been spot on when we've eaten there.
