Dropping young'un off at uni, halls are just off Notting Hill Gate. Anywhere nice and/or sensibly priced to eat and drink? For tomorrow, so nowhere that needs booking three months ahead and a lock of unicorn hair, just decent grub that leaves enough cash in my wallet for the diesel back to Yorkshire.

Last time we visited (my eldest sometimes rehearses (theatre) in rehearsal rooms at Westbourne Grove) we had a nice couple of hours at the Walmer Castle.
The Elgin near Ladbroke Grove is nice enough and gets you away from the crowds of notting hill.
