Natwest have an online saver offering 2.89% (including a 1 year bonus) which is about as good as you'll get at the moment unless you want to fix in for a longer term. Anything 2.5%+ is acceptable at the moment.

The Lloyds TSB Classic current account with "Vantage" pays 4% interest on balances between £5-7K. And you can open three of 'em 🙂
Edit: to qualify for the 4% you need to pay in £1K each month but that £1K can be money you effectively move around so you can pay it in then immediately withdraw it.
