You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi all,
One of our cars doesn't have headrests but we still want to be able to see our spawn when he's in his baby car seat. All of the mirrors I can find attach to headrests.
Have any of the STW parents overcome this problem, and if so HOW?
We have one that uses a (heavy-ish) bean bag with little rubber grippy dots on the underside. The bean bag bit sits on the top of the rear seat, or on the parcel shelf, and has enough grip to stay in place. We found you might need to wedge a rolled-up face cloth or pair of socks or something under the mirror to angle it properly, but will depend on the car/car seat etc.
We bought it 6+ years ago in NZ, but from a quick google I'm pretty sure it was this one. Best to email the vendor and check that this one has the bean bag attachment.
Brought to mind our old campervan, an old VW LT, it had aftermarket add on universal headrests, like these(took some googling to find)
But your obvious answer is gaffertape.
THanks Will - sounds ideal
A driving instructor style rear view mirror attached to either a side window or rear window?
Your eyes are supposed to be on the road.
"Your eyes are supposed to be on the road."
Even the front seat passenger? Even while stopped at lights? I thought checking on a child was allowed then?
I'll have a look at home tonight as we have the bean bag one WillH mentions and you are welcome to it if I can find it !
Thanks NZCol, that's very kind of you. I'll wait for you to respond before ordering one.
And I never look at the road anyway as I'm too busy changing radio stations or plucking my eyebrows.
