Looking to buy one in the coming months and there aren't many around so I am watching Ebay. However I need to be able to fit in our double buggy in the boot - a Nipper 360 twin.
Has anyone here ever fitted that particular buggy in that car (wheels off is fine).
I would go to the local dealers to check but they haven't had any in for ages either.
Bump - anyone?
Hi there, I have a fusion for a second car and failed to get a mountain buggy urban twin in with the back seats up, even with the wheels off. Don't know how much smaller the nipper 360 folds but you might struggle.
Since changing our main car to a soft-roader with minimal boot space have reverted to a mclaren twin for urban requirements and kept the mountain buggy for walks from the house. If we need the mountain buggy with 3 kids and dog we need two cars (or put the buggy on the roof!).
Hope that is of help.
The twin buggy (3 wheel jobby) was one of the main reasons to changing to an XC90 years ago. As far as I can see if they're any good they also tend to be massive!
Could you not just take the buggy to a Ford garage?
squirrel - the Mountain Buggy was WAY too big for our current car too (a Mazda 3) but the Nipper fits in with just one wheel removed so it is considerably smaller.
Shark - see above - I haven't seen a local garage with one in for ages and I don't think it is fair asking the Ford main dealer to get one in for me to check as I wouldn't buy from them.
I have just noticed that a nearly neighbour has one though - I might be cheeky and ask them...
I've had one in the back of a 1999 polo (possibly with two wheels removed- i'll check with the wife) and the back of a Z1 with all three wheels removed (a quick enough job). I can measure it folded once the boys wake up from there nap if you need.
Nipper is smaller than the Mountain buggy and gets through far more house and shop doors.
Yeah - we have the Nipper already (love it) just making sure that it is able to fit in the boot of the Fusion if I need it too (otherwise it will be pointless getting the car).
