Apple haven't left a headphone jack tucked away in there...

10m views though and apparently some people have actually tried this... 🙂

You've gotta ask, if you can drill the hole without killing the phone, why couldn't they include the socket to begin with....?

There's clearly nothing critical in there...

🙂

I am sure he's made a big profit from the youtube ad revenue too.

You can see the phone died whilst he was drilling it and the final shot will be of a 6/6S which lokks identical.

That guy gets through destroying a lot of phones. What a waste in the name of entertainment. All the slave labour that go into those things as well.

Hardly a waste, 10m views will earn him something like $15k-$20k in ad revenue I would have thought.

Not bad for making a short vid and destroying a $650 phone.

On the contrary, the space is occupied by the haptic engine that gives the 'click' sensation when the Home button is pressed.
Drilling a hole there renders the phone pretty much unusable.

I thought it let the magic out CZ, wasn't there plenty of people who tried the waterproofing on the last one after the videos or the microwave charging?

You must've been watching an entirely different video...

This video makes me want to upgrade to a brushless motor drill 😀

Another entertaining fact - they've added a row of small holes (a speaker grill) where the headphone jack was, as if there's another speaker under there. But there isn't, it's purely for aesthetics.

The worrying thing is these people are allowed to breed.

Before you drill it you should clamp it really really firmly in a vice.

True thing.

The ones who believe that someone actually did this?
