A future rearranging buckets to catch drips and save carpets awaits. Beware of what you wish for.

You should have put a label "van" on the bottom one for the sake of continuity.

Thanks I was struggling without the label to know what it was.

Do you really need the labels?

Look out for stealth label swapping 😉

The only reason for the van is the start of a really weak joke that I am fond of...

Jim Morrison never used a Van
Van Morrison never used a gym

As I said, it is a weak joke and I can't find a good image if Van Morrison so it fails on that level too

The positioning of the van is giving me a nervous tick.

Centred or towards bottom right please - towards top left is just wrong!

😀

My eyes are drawn toward the stand, I dont think you should use a wooden stand. How about adding Doris Day in the bottom right then doing an auto stand and have a T5 too

Otherwise, really cool and very talenbted, good luck and I hope you sell loads of them 🙂

The van is there because I am not happy yet with my Mohammed Ali but I will probably replace it. Thanks for the input, it was the main reason for posting this.

All free hand engraved with a Dremel and special engraving bits.

Labels are only blu-tac so I can remove them. Can you all recognise the people without them?

Audreys 'straw' goes into a bottle of gin just to the right of the canvas...

...or it was one of my earlier attempts.

retro83 - Labels are £35 and come with a free supply of engrave fire kindling

What about a portrait of David Dickinson I think that would come out like a real bobby-dazzler

Ali isn't varnished yet so a bit lighter. Do you think the engraving is too small? Would Adding "Ali" in script to the top left help?

yours for a modest £35 each. If you contact the artist directly I can smudge that price. Commissions considered...

@WCA - how did you price your work?

My woodturning has improved to the stage that I should think about selling and the general rule of thumb seems to be based on time at £20/hr - and materials.

I picked a selling price, the Wood Recycling Project.told me the commission they would take and I get whart is left.

I have done it for fun, not profit so far but it almost matches your formula for pricing. I guess that means something about my price perception .

Ernie is just delighted to be captured in the same scene as Ali.

They are really cool WCA. I particularly like the Morrison one. Well done for getting your stuff out there. I do a bit of woodburning portraits of musicians so this is right up my street. Good luck.
