Does anyone use the above for everyday use? I’ve always had standard coated lenses but would be interested in real life usage, do they change quickly enough and are they any good for driving with regards to depth of tint in the car etc.

They change quite slowly they don't suddenly go clear if you go into a dark tunnel.
They don't work in a car due to the glass screening the UV rays. Special versions are avaiable which do.
I have worn various glasses with photochromic lenses for years and the are good for most situations including cycling in the dark. They are not perfect but reasnably good.

I wear them, they're my first photochromic lenses, and I got them specifically becuase I now need varifocals - previously I had a second set of prescription sunnies. I love them, no problems. As @Bruce says they don't work in the car, but that's a small issue

I wear them, and the latest versions go dark within a minute or so - slower to go light though. Main problem I have is that they go dark even if it’s cloudy so long as the sun is above the horizon so I spend a lot of time looking like I am inappropriately wearing sunglasses. Great for riding though.

I just got a pair of glasses with magnetic clip-on shades, so I’ll see how I get on with those - I’m hoping they’ll be better for non-riding usage. The clip-on shades are a seamless fit and look just like normal sunglasses when in use.

Yes, I'm just a month or so into wearing Rad8 varifocal photochromic glasses. They work well as my only pair of glasses, so for every day use and cycling.

They don't work in the car when it's sunny, as the car windows already cut out the UV light. And they are not anything like instant in lightening up when you get into shade, and they do also darken when it's cloudy, but not sunny. But overall, I've adapted pretty well to them.
