Bit of a Xmas present for me an bijou spud. Turned up in the local tat shack for £100, snagged it for £60 as the radio was supposedly broken.
Had a fiddle and build it up properly. Anyone know anything about sailing them? How much wind is too much?

It’s quite a thing about 1.8m keel to the top of the mast.
Wow, that's epic!
One of the guys at my RC club plays with them, he has two so far and another he's building from scratch. From what I can gather they don't need much wind at all and you can get different sail designs for different wind strengths too. He finds it completely different to his bashers - one is an 8S 1/5 scale beast that can do 80 mph!
I'd look for a local club and learn that way, just be aware than one is never enough.
The is a huge race scene. Very club based. I don’t think that will be a racing class but it will be great to learn on
Edit.
Not RC boat related, but more of a general RC thing....
Anyone know of any UK exhibitions/shows for this sort of thing? RC scale models of farming, construction, transport, infrastructure, cityscapes etc. Just normal vehicles doing normal stuff, but at 1:12 scale
My 2 year old is obsessed with the videos (I also think that there are ace). I'd love to take him to see something like this.
Video link but the whole YouTube channel is filled with the same sort of stuff
It seems to be really popular in Germany judging by the YouTube content across lots of channels, but in the UK all I seem to be able to find is either meet ups for RC racing stuff, or model railways. No scale model RC exhibitions, but maybe I'm not searching for the right thing.
Thanks
There's a few guys in my club who are into the construction side of things and do go to shows sometimes, I'll ask them if there's any national shows to look out for. There are a few local shows where I've seen RC demos set up, tend to be tacked on to County shows and stuck in a shed somewhere. Last one was at the Frome show where the local club had a giant truck layout with Artics etc and a small construction site.
