Seen good reviews of the Firefly - not too big a rotor diameter (essential to avoid shredding the furniture indoors!)

E.flite do some good helis-Blade MCPX is a full 3d indoor/outdoor heli but can do real damage indoors due to high rotor speed. They have also released a micro version, the Nano CPX. It is however a huge step up from a fixed pitch co-ax heli so something like a blade MSRX may fit the bill. It may struggle outdoors in any wind mind you if it's anything like the previous MSR version. Spares are reasonably cheap but can be hard to find the more commonly broken parts at times.
A large heli may soon run out of space indoors unless in a school hall or something
