Any body on here know anything about rc boats? My dad made this (is the picture link working?) for me when I was a kid, currently needs some tlc. After some advice on getting a new electric motor, battery and speed control

Used to have some of the real ones in the dockyard next to me, they used them as training boats and if I mind right they were powered by waterjets.
I'm not up to speed with RC gear now but boats were pretty simple.

My Dad built this when I was a Kid, I'm guessing yours is a similar vintage (70s), his used a Wiper motor from a mini.

Yep early 80s. The current motor is seized and the speed controller radio kit is missing. It's been in my mum and dads loft for 25 years, my son found it the other weekend. It would be cool to get it going again
