Its not high enough to seriously worry about but the diastolic pressure of 88 is a bit higher than desirable. I'd mention it next time you go to the docs

Again - medical advice on the internet is worth what you pay for it 😉

Diastolic below 80 is fine.
Start worrying when your vital signs readings were the following
209/117
116 pulse
38.7 temperature
26 respiration rate.
All due to kidney stones and infection.

My Normal with blood pressure tablets is 115-130 /70 if I don't take them it skyrockets.

bwfc - thats the sort of numbers that win you the NHS lottery - I don't have my "NEWS" scoring with me right now but I think that would be a score of around 9 which gets you immediate referral to a senior medic / possible crash call

I assume Man flu would automatically get a rating of 10....

One off reading, in normal range.

Repeat readings over 140/90 would be considered for attention (either figure). I went for my nhs health check today with practice nurse, offered to all 40+ to screen for developing risks. BP, height, weight, waist measurements, lifestyle and family history questions. Blood test for diabetes and cholesterol. Seemed a good use of 15 minutes.

Think my father's were higher than that but then again the blood was being forced through the side walls of blood vessels into his brain.
He's fine now though, well as fine ad a cantankerous old git can be.

IANAD

120/80 is considered "normal"
140/90 is borderline high and may be a one-off

Mine drops from 120/80 to 100/60 after an hour on the bike, my pulse however rises from its normal 60 to 80 (to compensate??)

If you're not sure get it checked out, pulse (as said) seems high too, but it could be the doctor's surgery effect

As @timba says 140/90 is top of "normal" - we've had other threads on this topic
