I'm really good at throwing bits of rubbish into bins, from a long way away. Doesn't translate into any useful skill though - I was always annoyingly rubbish at shooting in basketball, and I'm the world's crappest darts player.

Common sense appears to be a rare skill.

I can get a duvet into its cover in a move that takes less than a couple of seconds and ends with the bed perfectly made and with me in it. Occasionally I do destroy a lampshade as part of the manoeuvre though.

In any given situation I can make a decision that is the exact opposite of the one my wife would like me to take. I'm a natural at it, apparently.

I'm good at throwing teabags into waiting mugs from the other side of the kitchen. More specialised than molgrips I'd say 🙂

Effortlessly open a bottle of beer with a spoon, it also makes a satisfying "POP"
You see so many people struggle and hurt themselves,

As above, I can open beer bottles with a huge array of random objects.

Can use lighters, cutlery, a belt, a shoe, a ski, another bottle etc etc.

My favourite is a fish slice though, big pop!

Wait.. dry teabags into waiting hot water? Or used ones into empty mugs?

I had a bottle (coke, not beer) the other day, and no opener. I used the back edge of knife held over the edge of a table. Smack on top, done, no damage to table or knife.

I've a 'proven' ability to juggle pretty much any 3 objects.

Give me an orange, a shoe box and an angry cat and I'll juggle them.

That's a rite of passage amongst the German yoof. Still the ability impresses friends of mine back home.

My main skill is being able to destroy any mountain bike part ever made just by riding along. I managed to split a Hope rear hub in half last Sunday riding uphill on my singespeed! 🙁

I make one of the best Kaiserschmarrn ever.... B better than 95% of those you'll find in a restaurant.

As Rover Stern says, this is the done thing in Germany... Think there is an unwritten rule that people adhere to (unless you are a Spießer or Preiß) that says you must open a bottle with anything but a bottle opener....

That's your subconscious sending a signal. You should just run with it, see where it leads.

As a previous boss was fond of saying: "Common sense is not very common"

Mine is to remember useless bits of information. My day to day memory is pretty poor and unless I make a note for myself, I forget even the most basic stuff. I am even worse with names.

But, I seem to be able to remember the tyre sizes and pressures for a motorbike that I sold 5 years ago, the code to get out the car park at a hotel I spent the night in before christmas, the combination for the bike lock I had as a kid. The more obscure and useless the piece of information, the better chance I'll remember it.

I can drink a pint in less than 4 seconds.
Mild or Stout, for preference.
Lager gets messy.

Used to be able to do regular sub 3's, but age comes to all trained athletes eventually.
