I had the 2014 ww1 anniversary coin in my change today, not seen one before and did a google.

Some people are trying to sell them for £200 on ebay??! Are they really rare?

Any other coins worth looking out for in your change?

Chancers. There's quite a few on there for £3-4 and even that is trying it on. Its free/very cheap to list it and you only need one mug.

I have a rare £2 coin here - all one colour. Is it worth anything?

Remember those 20p pieces that didn't have a date on them a few years ago?

I had a few of them*, sold them to a coin dealer for £3.75 each. He's been slowly selling them on for around £7 each!

* a whole bag 😀

If anyone sees the 1989 Claim of Rights 300yr commemorative one I got nicked off me I'd like it back...

TBH it's rarer to see a pound note these days, can't remember the last time i saw one, they must be out of circulation now.

EDIT: nope, still going!

I inexplicably bought a bunch of £5 coins for 50p each in a flea market in Greenwich, took them to the bank and dropped them into my account. Good business model, that.

Jack Nicklaus fivers apparently up to a tenner now. They're my retirement fund 😆
