Over to the oracle as my attempts at resolving this have failed.

For reasons known only to themselves the Senior T-R's drive a Victoria Beckham special .....

They are looking for replacement cameras for the reverse and one of the front cameras due to water ingress.

seems to be a regular issue with em.

Now theirs is a 2012 and has 4 pin round cameras - LR want 250+ vat each . LR025912 the camera style is BJ32

If it was a year newer you could get em for 60 quid each - but they use 6 pin rectangular connectors.....

has  anyone had to replace these before and found them cheaper than 250+ vat the dealer wants? Island 4x4 are doing them at 200+vat.- that ive seen

They are selling the car and like everything (faux)posh - if its not working 100% they take a silly hit on it if its not working - but understandably 6-700 quid just to replace them is hard to stomach (but they lose more if they dont work)

Failing that - anyone know any Range Rover specialist Breakers ?

Cheers

Could they not just swap it for the interior camera which takes selfies and adds bunny ears?

What's the difference between a Rang Rover owner and a hedgehog?

*runs away giggling*

Good to see standards haven't slipped even if the forum has haha...

I've no idea why they bought it. It's a bag of shit imo.

My sister in law has one. In white. With light grey/white leather interior. And huuuuuge alloys.

One brother and law refers to it as 'The Vajazzle'...seems about right.

Parents is black. With blacked out windows

Sometimes I wonder about what drugs they deal.

Then I remember they only have 17 inch alloys and aubergine interior and remember it's just a bad taste thing rather than a tool of the trade.

Cheers drlex

That's the 6pin -and at a healthy markup   they are only 60 quid.

The 4 pin was a short lived venture by lr and much harder to come by.

The 6 pin is called the dynamic camera....what ever that means

Sounds bleeding obvious, but can’t you just replace the old units for the new 6pin jobbies .?....

Would mean changing all the system and the wiring to do that.

I even thought about adaptors but the 6pin cameras are 2 rows of three pins and conventional 6pin is round.

If anyone knows of an adaptor that will work I'm all ears.

Online scrap yard - might be the best bet. Put request in and see if anyone comes back.

Yeah my dad's ringing round them atm.

On the whole it's been quite a reliable car over the last 6 years

Besides the cameras there have not been any issues beyond those created by the dealer.

Where they didn't bother doing the agreed service schedule work.

Town and county fwiw.

Apologies, T_R; read it the wrong way round. There’s one on eBay for £50-odd, or try posting a Q on babyRR.com?

Have you looked inside the six pin?

You might find that despite it looking like it should be larger it's actually much smaller inside than you'd think.

Common evoque thing this.
