October this year I believe.
Anyone got the date?

Saw the sign outside the church the other day but can't remember the details.
Need to make sure I'm not double booked - there's a Man V Pie competition and I need to get into shape.

Nice walk from Rammy to Rawtenstall btw.
If it wasn't a beautiful, winding, hardly used footpath with some really fun looking sections and a great pub at each end I'd definitely consider riding it.

In all honesty, I reckon he's a bit of a lightweight, piewise.

Unless he can prove otherwise............

Sounds like a fine excuse for a Sunday morning ride to me. Just to work up an appetite.

Now, who do we know who's Rammy based and partial to the odd pastry based delicacy who could arrange such a thing??

I need more details

Pie.

A baked food having a filling of meat, prepared in a pastry-lined pan or dish and often topped with a pastry crust.

Ramsbottom

A town in Lancashire, England. The name was mocked in Despicable Me 2, but seriously, is a bloody stupid name for a town. Might as well have called it forecefulbumville.

However, the idea of a festival of pies fills me with such childish excitement, I have to attend.

Can't say it's the biggest festival in the world, but there were a good few to sample last year.
All top quality.

Think small and homely:

I appear to be getting married the week after - current Stag Do plans involve getting the train from Rawtenstall to Manchester, stopping off at Rammy and Bury for light refreshments on the way.

Not fixed a date for that yet.
I could combine the two......

I realised last year that I'm an absolute amateur at this pie-munching lark. I watched the pie eating competition in awestruck wonder, as 2 blokes, both the size of the cab of an articulated lorry, shovelled pies down themselves at a rate that would strike fear into even the most ardent Greggs-worshipper like myself

These fellas were on another level altogether. 😯
