I've tried googling, but my grade F GCSE French isn't up to the job. As for googling in Spanish.... Well.

Where can I find out the up coming rallies in said countries.

Fancy watching some cars hooning along tiny roads in the next few months.

Monte Carlo is a bit of a detour from the central Loire Valley....

@Edukator...you're a local. Any of those taking place on the French list in the next two weeks between the Loire and pyrenees?

I miss the days as a kid when really cars would come hooning through Peak District country lanes and even our village late at night.

Then once a year we'd sneak through the woods at Chatsworth to watch the stage of the big UK rally through the grounds (RAC rally was it back then?)

I miss the days when we used to get G4 Escorts on Road Rallies in the Peak District lanes.

You could do worse than watching the European historic rally championship. Good chance I will be pit crewing one of the rounds

Nothing from the Loire to the Pyrenees at this time of the year, Alpin, it's a mud fest off road. The events are all in the dry south east, in limestone areas or on ice.

Tell me about it....

Mud

I almost got stuck again the other day when I pulled over on the single track lane onto the verge to let a bus pass.

Yeah, they're next on the list along with recovery boards. Any decent off road out fitters in France you can recommend?

Ended up letting air out and wedging some sticks under the tyres.

How the bloody hell do you get insta pics to appear?

Instagram is down in France at the minute, your first vid worked briefly then:

Veuillez patienter quelques minutes avant de réessayer.

I've failed to find snow chains for your van in any of the local accesory places. 🙁 I'd have to get on the phone.

@Edukator

Found a 4x4 place in Bordeaux and another near Toulouse for recovery boards.

Also looks like Leroy Merlin has boards and chains. Well, in their website at last, not sure about in store.

Had Pewag Servo chains for the T5, but they don't fit this wheel/tyre combo.

Found some: Feu Vert Pau Lons, and probably other branches:
