Over the years I've organised a variety of events at work for charity - the usual World Cup sweepstakes, Grand Nationals, the like. Nothing huge but usualy gets 40 or 50 quid together for a local charity, and they do take some organisation.

So last night in the secret santa at the work do, someone bought the Technical Director a Borat style mankini. And with beer flowing he agreed to don it and run a lap of the building this lunchtime if we had a whip round for charity.

£200-flaming-quid, for about 35 seconds of effort! (and admittedly a lifetime of shame)

Altruism - one of the key points of altruism is that you do it for no personal gain. Suck it up.

Suck it up.

That is one of the least appropriate comments possible if you'd seen it. The TD is of somewhat short stature and the straps of his mankini were long enough that the pouch hung a little lower than might be desirable. In a test jog on the spot in the toilets before setting off, he discovered that the resulting jiggle was enough that the contents of the pouch rapidly became 'uncontents' (in 1984 speak)

Fortunately the organising committee after a quick vote decided that underpants were permissable - if not compulsory - in this instance.

[you do realise I'm not actually moaning don't you Goan. I'm merely pointing out that if anyone wants to raise a serious sum for charity, public humiliation seems to be the best way to someone's wallet]
