Anyone watching it? Started it at the weekend and thinking its really quite good.
Caught E01 last night - certainly interested to see where it’s going. Looks like it’s had a few quid thrown at it. Scoring quite well on IMDb too.
I thought it was generally decent, but it doesn't resolve the big mysteries. They're obviously planning on a second season so they needed to leave the big questions unanswered.
I'm a fair way through it. Lots of questions, but OK.
Started good but gets more ludicrous as the episodes go on. No spoilers but the last episode is just a bit stupid.
It only got released this weekend didn't it? Have some of you binged watched about 10 hours of telly already? 😮
It didn't get great reviews in the Guardian, I fear getting sucked into a new thing like Westworld or the Walking Dead that should have stopped at one or two series. I ended up getting pissed off with myself wasting time watching characters I couldn't give a shit what happened to them before giving up with those two.
Cracking show I thought.
Lost my faith with Ridley Scott after Prometheus and the other one, which I can't even remember what it's called.
He peaked with Alien and Gladiator....
He peaked with The Duellists….
FTFY
I thought it was the brummie sitcom.
I'm out...
Does anyone violently “give birth” to a penis? To me this is the defining feature of a Ridley Scott sci-fi film, I won’t bother otherwise.
I thought it was okay but it didn't quite satisfy the itch left by other sci-fi shows. The premise was really interesting and I liked the human/android interactions. I will tune in for season 2 but I am hoping for a significant change of pace.
I didn't really like the power dynamics, without going into spoilers I felt Mother came off as far too powerful which removed suspense. The only character that I was slightly invested in was Father. Everyone else was unlikeable, lacking depth or not relevant enough to the story. I wish the plot felt a bit deeper, rather than just throwing stuff out without explanation to create some form of mystery.
This isn't a series which I would recommend persevering through if you don't enjoy the first few episodes.
Watched it a few months back, on the whole I really enjoyed it but ep10 went a bit odd, and Ragnar only seems to know how to play Ragnar which can get a bit tiring.
Only a couple of episodes in, but this is my kinda sci-fi. That Mother is the biz.
He peaked with Alien and Gladiator….
Crossover episode?
Watched first few episodes and have the fear that all the little bits and pieces will just vanish and not be resolved or dragged out forever until it becomes kak or gets cancelled.
Yeah I thought it was OK but as above - I hope there's a clearly defined story arc and episodes already fleshed out to achieve it, rather than it becoming another 'surprise hit' that means they want to drag it out for a couple more seasons that it was originally intended to last for (and end up ruining it).
Was a little underwhelmed by Ep1. I gave Ep2 in and it's drawn me in. I'll stick with it I think...
On episode 4, really enjoying it. But will be annoyed if it doesn't at least tell us where the pits came from and who/what lives in them.
