mutant!
Suprising how many interbreed birds you get as well as mutated-my mate is a mad keen birder and has shown me loads of pics.
they pick on it because it's different and will attract predators, I think?
Wtf is that abomination of nature?
actually, looking at it again, it looks a bit like a seagull at the front; is that photo-shopped perhaps?
Actually Sharki it's called Leucism. Hardly an abomination of nature though. Very common in blackbirds in defferent degrees.
looks cool. Hope the behaviour of the other birds toughens it up enough to flourish.
Cheers Dropoff!
No, not at all photoshopped, though the few people i've shown the pic too also said seagull.
wrong shape beak for a seagul but it does look a bit photoshopped where the the white blends in to black!
It's the michael jackson of the bird world.
mutant male blackbird, not uncommon.
we used to get a a really light sandy brown black bird in our back yard
crushrider - aka a female blackbird
We used to get this small brown blackbird with a sort of redish patch on it's front on the bird table.
samuri - MemberIt's the michael jackson of the bird world.
Let's hope it has a different doctor to MJ!
Thats a coincidence Ian Munro, When we lived in Texas 68MYA, we used to get an unusual 13 metre wingspan-type-of-blackbird visiting our bird table. 🙂
