[Closed] quickie... 'real' genuine iphone 5 cables?

I would recommend the Amazon Basics stuff. Built like a tank, better than the Apple ones, and if it did go wrong, then Amazon will replace it.

Can now use any micro USB cable (of which there are bloody loads around the house) as it's a genuine Apple adaptor so works as it should.

Careful of the amazon basics stuff as the plastic housing at the charging end is pretty wide and won't fit quite a lot of cases

I looked for one a while ago and came to the conclusion that the apple shop is the only place I could be confident I was getting a genuine cable.
The ones on amazon / ebay are all fakes as far as I could tell. Titles like "Cable for genuine Apple Iphone" dont help.

I only buy cables from the Apple store. £15 seems a fair enough price. The newer lightening style (as per the 5) seem harder for the fake guys to get right.

BTW IMO any cable not from Apple or an official reseller is a fake.
