Got a few things to sell on eBay, with my adverts saved as drafts. How often do they send out the £1 or 80% off offers? Will they not bother while these drafts exist?

Its about once a month at the moment. That said they haven't done £1 offers for a while. Usually a percentage. Its been 70 or 80% for me for last few months.

Edit just looked at my history - last 4 were - 16th Dec 80%, 13th Jan 80%, 29th Jan 80% and 12th Feb 80%, so actually quite often. Maybe one coming at the end of the month.

For a couple of things I'm going to sell, won't be much odds between a quid or 70/80%.

Thanks Nick.

80% offer seems to be every other weekend, from how often I get sent them!

It's every other weekend essentially. There will be one this coming weekend. Starts on Friday until Monday usually.

I haven't had any selling offers for years, and I used to be quite prolific. I still buy, sometimes spending £300+ so maybe if i sold something minor a couple of times it would restart.

Yeah, I sold a token thing, £10, a couple of weeks ago (my first time on there in months) and then the following week I had an 80% off fees offer. I assumed I'd have to sell something to activate the offers being sent to me but reading he above, maybe not. Will see what comes along this weekend, still got some stuff to shift!

Every time I put something for sale, I then get the 80% offers. Never before.
I should learn - put something worthless up. Then I’ll get the offer, then I list the higher priced stuff. I sell so infrequently, I always forget and the fees are ****ing ridiculous.

I drafted some listings the other week, knowing that I never have time when I see there's an offer on, and then there was 80% off last weekend, so 5 minute job to kick them off.

I don't seem to get sent offers though, maybe because I opt out of as much email as possible. So it's reliant on me checking the home page for a banner.

Don't forget that everything auto-relists these days, but you only get the offer fees for the original listing, so cancel it if it doesn't sell and you don't want to pay.

Must be same for me as I never get emailed them but they always go to my Messages inbox within eBay itself so I spot them. I always wait for the next 80% before submitting my drafted listings and then just laugh at people who say eBay fees are ridiculous.

I keep an eye on HotUKDeals.. I'm sure sometimes I've used one of their links when I haven't had an email / message from eBay itself. As above, looks like 70% and 80% off deals this weekend.

Definitely one this weekend. Use the link in this thread and see if it works.

Mega, that Did work. Never occurred to me to look on deals sites, I've only ever seen them direct from eBay before. 👍
