I think we will be needing new pads front and back on our Civic (2007) at its next service (about 5 weeks).
Honda have fixed pricing on these at £95 F & £95 R.
Seems a bit dear to me.
Before I go phoning all and sundry just wanted to sound it out here.
BTW DIY isn't an option for me on these 🙁
Call a local quick fit sort of place for a comparison
Find a local independent garage and call them.
Hmmm.
Kwick Fit £146 F&R 😕
Will try an independent now ...
Kwick Fit £146 F&R
At least you know the premium now
is it worth the extra £44 for the main dealer to you?
Pads £25-30 a set. £40 for fitting.
Honda stealer prices seem a bit steep, but I'd say Kwik Fir are close to being reasonable prices.
Why is DIY not an option? Warranty?
Warranty and never done it before 😳
Plus you should hear the howl from the discs on my MTBs 😆
When you call the independent dealer tell them it is under warranty and ask them to quote on fitting manufacturer-recommended pads then.
Local guy now concentrating only Jags 🙁
Was happy doing our W plate 206 but nothing newer 🙁
If you're on the isle of wight I'll do it for much cheapness. However the ferry fare may negate any savings to be had....
Are Kwik-fit still offering free pads for as long as you own the car? Is it a keeper?

That's not bad if they have fancy electronic procedures and you can't do it properly yourself. My Passat needs FEPs to change the rear, and that cost me £90 or something including the pads.
