So the wife is nesh, bought her a new 5mm suit whilst down here in Cornwall, worn three times and its split on a pretty obvious seam, no tear or rip just come away at the smooth chest plate type area where it's stitched onto normal wetsuit material. Unfortunately chucked the receipt. Local surf shop down at treb, just wondered if there was any "exclusions" before we nip it back on Saturday as we're not at the beach tomorrow.
Not sure what you mean by "exclusions" and depends on make and value of the suit, cheap one from a 'beach' shop or a decent brand from a proper shop - more chance with the latter. Some places do repairs if the lack of receipt is a problem - was the seam just glued or blind stitched and glued?
Circle one, was 120 quid, bought in the sale for 50.
circle one is reasonable gear, sale shouldn't come into it unless it was a seconds sale rail. I'd pop in and see if they will swap it or repair for free, worth an ask.
Pay by card? On your statement yet?
You just need a form of proof purchase, it can be your bank statement.
You should have no problems, it's a fitness for purpose issue - no-one is going to argue a wetsuit will only last three wears. The fact it was in a sale doesn't affect this
As Drac said - credit card receipt/statement should be fine. At £50 I imagine they will just replace it.
Unless it happened belly boarding over a toddler.... 🙂
Should be fine to return, had a twice repeated issue with a base model suit second time paid a moderate upgrade fee and got the top of the range winter suit just released which is ace from Alder, brilliant customer service.
