My friend who runs a charity in Nigeria just posted this on their facebook - anyone got any clever ideas?

question for technical people: What is the cheapest, smallest way that I could give teachers in rural nigeria a single sound file to listen to? I need them to have a recording of some letter sounds so that they can remember how to pronounce them after I have gone, and as there is no electricity it cannot be on a CD. It has to be something battery powered. Maybe a mega cheap MP3 player?

Long shot, but how do those silly kids toys work, the kind you get in Mc D's, usually small cuddly ones that when pressed give out a roar etc, until parent gets pissed off & throws it out of the car window?

Afraid I don't know what they're called, or how they work, or cost, or how long they record for.

Being serious - a single sound file does not really give enough information: how long is the sound clip/what quality/size is the file?
