Yes, it's a public record.
And if so how do you go about getting it.
Apply at the relevant office. Probably online now. Try using Google search.

The Coroner's court will have a website and on it you'll find their email address. You can email them requesting a copy of the inquest report - they will charge you a fee but it's not much.
