Looking to update my current speakers for the surround sound system and these seem to get very good reviews.
Anyone have some, particularly the 3000 range?

I have the older 2000 series and other than some issues with the sub they've been great. Very good sound for the size of speaker and as they are basically the same units in surround/main/centre very cohesive.
I doubt you'd be disappointed.

I think I have the 2000 as well, got them in a deal from RS years ago. Use them along with some Castles for a 7.1 system. No complaints!

I bought some Q Acoustics (probably the 2000s) a while back. I didn't get on with the sub - very boomy and (in my house at least) changing placement didn't help.

I still have the fronts though and use them as bookshelf speakers with no complaints.

I have a pair of the previous generation 3020s hooked up to my Denon micro system. They sound great but I prefer the sound of my Wharfedale Diamonds so I'd recommend a demo listen if possible to see if you get on well with the sound.

I’ve got the current 3020s on 2 different amps. I’m not hifi buff but they sound great to me.

Have had a pair of their 2020i speakers for a few years now on an old Marantz amp. They sound quite good for most stuff (very detailed) and are impressive for such a small speaker. However the bass response cuts off quite sharply - not a problem for traditional music of all sorts, but no use for electronic stuff with deep bass. Have been idly wondering about adding a sub.

2020i's here as well, paired with a wharfdale Sub. Very nice but agree that they need the sub if you want to use them at higher volumes or in a larger space.

I had 2020s and for the cash they are great with no obvious shortcomings, for the money thats their greatest strength. Depends what your expectations are of them..

Shortlisted the 3020i’s and a pair of Dali Zensor 3’s. I demo’d both at Richer Sounds. Was fully expecting to walk away with the Q Acoustics but the Dali’s were far better. I’ve got a system set up for vinyl and it does depend what type of music you prefer listening to. I like a warmer sound. Found the Q Acoustics really analytical. May be different depending what amp you’re running.

2020i here, very happy as just 2x hifi speakers. I've heard them with the subwoofer and they sounded ace, unfortunately I'm too considerate to my neighbour.

Thanks guys. I'll get myself off to RS and see what they've got that I can have a listen to.

I have two sets of 2020i and a set of 3020i (I have a mate who used to work in the reruns department of Q acoustics 😀). The 3020i if you have the space are excellent and the 2020i pretty good but I find speaker performance a very subject thing.
